Bartlesville FOP Lodge 117 endorses five City Council candidates

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 117 has announced its endorsement of five candidates in the upcoming Bartlesville City Council election.

In a letter to the editor dated Oct. 9, the lodge endorsed Michael Colaw, David Austin, Jim Curd, Aaron Kirkpatrick and Trevor Dorsey ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

The organization said its endorsements reflect an appreciation for candidates who prioritize public safety, maintain open communication with law enforcement and recognize the concerns of officers and the community.

"We look forward to continued cooperation on issues important to Bartlesville," the lodge stated in its letter.

The organization also acknowledged others seeking public office, expressing respect for everyone who has entered the race.

Lodge 117 closed its letter by encouraging Bartlesville residents to learn about the candidates and participate in the Nov. 3 election.
